Behind a bottle of extra virgin olive oil is an entire supply chain. On this page, we use official images from our chain to show the journey from the olive tree and flowering to fruit, harvest, processing, storage and the final product.

It starts with the olive tree

The tree, its surroundings and the people who work within the supply chain are the starting point. Here we show the process step by step with real images, without turning every stage into a slogan.

02 · FLOWERING

Flowering: the start of a new cycle

In spring, small flowers appear on the olive tree. It is a short but important stage that comes before the fruit begins to form.

03 · THE FRUIT

From flower to green olive

After flowering, the young olives become visible. As they develop, their size, colour and structure change. The images below show this stage directly on the tree.

04 · HARVEST

From the tree to processing

Harvest marks the transition from the agricultural stage to processing. The harvested olives continue to the olive mill, where the next stage of the process begins.

05 · THE OLIVE MILL

Processing at the olive mill

After harvest, processing begins at the olive mill. Extraction is carried out strictly cold to preserve the oil’s aromas, quality and natural components as well as possible, while limiting the impact of heat on the product. 06 · STORAGE

Storage in stainless-steel tanks

Storage remains part of the supply chain after processing. The images show the stainless-steel tanks used before the oil moves on to packaging and distribution.

A supply chain is not made only of trees, machinery and packaging. Behind its different stages are people who know the land and follow the agricultural and production work closely.
